The work we do
The work of the United Way of Allegany County is guided by a survey provided by the Sociology Department of Frostburg State University that identifies human needs in the community.
Human Services agencies develop programs to address the needs identified by the Frostburg State University survey.
Implementation of the programs is funded by contributions to the United Way of Allegany County. Money raised in the community stays in the community to help people in need.
Human services agencies whose programs are funded are held accountable for results.
