Campaign Committee  Actively solicits business, community, foundation, organizations, and personal financial support for programs of affiliated human services agencies.
Community Response Committee Assesses applications from organizations chartered for charitable youth, health, welfare, and allied purposes, which desire an allocation of funds from the United Way of Allegany County.
Legacy Committee  Plans a program for identifying, informing, involving, and recognizing major gifts individuals for their commitment to the United Way of Allegany County.
Marketing Committee Plans and executes advertising, publicity, and promotional strategies in support of the United Way of Allegany County.
Planned Gifts Committee  Creates an endowment for the United Way of Allegany County to ensure its financial stability.
Volunteer Development Committee  Conducts a needs assessment of abilities required to fill positions on functioning committees of the United Way of Allegany County,
nominates people to fill committees' needs, and provides a formal orientation program.

A premier program of the United Way of Allegany County is its collaboration with the Western Maryland Health System, the Allegany County department of Social Services,
Allegany Health Right, and Associated Charities to make medications available to people who cannot afford their prescriptions.
